Tom Colligan has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1976 with a wide range of community based and federated organizations including community centers, health agencies, YMCAs, camping and environmental groups, youth and family counseling organizations, associations and museums.
A nonprofit organization President and CEO for over 40 years, he has worked on the national staff of the Arthritis Foundation as a Senior Vice-President supervising chapter development, with the United South End Settlements as Interim President, as Interim Executive Director with the Mystic Community Center facilitating his fourth nonprofit merger and as Interim Executive Director of The House of the Seven Gables Settlement Association. His extensive client list covers over 15 Interim Executive Director engagements.
Tom specializes in interim leadership and organizational development in senior executive and financial development positions, works in crisis and turnaround management, and facilitates strategic planning and board development processes. Based in Winsted, Connecticut he works in the Northeast providing financial development consulting for capital campaigns, endowment development programs, annual fund raising planning, board development and interim leadership. In addition he offers extensive experience in financial analysis, budget development and management and brings creative solutions to challenging financial situations.
He has delivered over 50 training programs, holds numerous training certifications, has facilitated dozens of strategic planning processes, board development retreats and unique team building
Tom holds an undergraduate degree from Goddard College, Plainfield, VT and a Masters in Human Service Administration from Springfield College, Springfield, MA.
